European Round Table West Zone 16 August 2011 in Scotland 'A diverse workforce offers more initiative, wider perspectives and increased competitiveness' focuses on addressing occupational segregation and promoting women in enterprise and innovation.
In recognition that these issues are central to the economic policy agenda this Round Table event aims to shape policy recommendations directly to the European Commissions' relevant directorates including DG Regional Policy, Enterprise, Innovation and Equality and ensure a gendered perspective.
We aim to follow a systematic process of providing guidance and high level strategic information with an update on the policy process to date. It is an opportunity to refine the work of WINNET8 in Scotland and to deliver clear policy recommendations in terms of EU 2020 Strategy, 5th Cohesion Policy and subsequent Regional Operational Programmes.
