Interreg IVC Capitalisation project Winnet 8 Consultation is now open

Interreg IVC Capitalisation project Winnet 8 Consultation on Women´s Resource Centres Promoting Innovation in Gender Equality across Europe

We welcome contributions from public authorities, organisations, civil society, citizens and Interreg IVC Winnet 8, Capitalisation project partners and non-partners at European, National, regional and local levels in EU 27 member states.

The overall aim of the Capitalisation project WINNET 8 under the Interreg IVC programme is to improve women’s participation on the labour market and in non-traditional fields, in particular, entrepreneurship, innovation and technology.

WINNET 8 contributes to growth in regions through Women Resource Centers (WRCs) and a range of innovative measures and programmes which promote gender equality across Europe. The partnership aims to influence and inform policies and development programmes at regional, national and EU levels; improving women’s status on the labour market. The project promotes gender mainstreaming and will link directly to the EU’s cohesion policy for growth and prosperity strengthening gender equal development across the Union.

WINNET 8 intends to shape a set of proposals and policy recommendations on how best to integrate gendered perspectives within the EU 2020 Strategy and the European Union's future territorial cohesion policy from 2014 and onwards. The partnership will contribute with regional action plans approaches for implementation of gendered perspectives into the Regional Operation Program (ROP) with support from Women Resource Centers (WRC).

In light of that, we invite WINNET 8 partners and wider relevant key stakeholders to contribute to policy recommendations and action plans for the ROP 2014, through Round Table consultation. The results will be communicated to the European Council, the European Commission and the European Parliament. We welcome contributions from all actors in Quadruple Helix (e.g. policy makers and public authorities, civil society actors, Women Resource Centers, universities and R&D institutes, and the business enterprise sectors) - all those with interest, expertise and knowledge in the relevant policy contexts.
